Over the last few years, there has surfaced a strange cultural conceit that TV has begun to replace movies as the more artful, grownup means of telling stories. But the best TV can never hope to achieve what the best movies accomplish with ease. I’ll tell you why.
Initially a box office flop, making only $37 million domestically, barely half of it’s production budget, Fight Club has since come into its own, now sitting at #10 of IMDB’s top 250 movies of all time. Not that one should place a lot of stock in that top 10, as there are a couple of real duds far too high (*cough* Lord of the Rings *cough*).

A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints is the forgotten movie of 2006. This is a film that is actually written and directed by the author of the book. And it's good. I recommend that you give a watch. You may like it as much as I do.
The Hateful Eight was another gritty western from Director Quentin Tarantino. And in typical Tarantino fashion, it was a bloody, violent mess threaded together with captivating dialogue. However, a lot of people were disappointed when the movie ends and they are left scratching their heads to find meaning.
